From an early age I remember baking with my grandma and our visits to the small family run bakeries in Darlington, my home town. I remember small cakes in the shape of cauliflowers with fresh cream and marzipan leaves, other small pastries filled and decorated in peach melba fondant.

After art college I studied Surface Pattern Design at Huddersfield University. I have always been creative and after having my first child I started to create cakes for his birthday. I later gained a number of years experience at a small commercial patisserie in Otley working as a confectioner/decorator.

In 2016 I set up Rose and Jam Cake Creations. I wanted to continue to grow as a cake decorator and have control over the quality of my work. I was keen to try new things and share the joy in my work. I am passionate about creating beautiful, fun and delicious cakes. Baked fresh using high quality ingredients.
